Day 1 : Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazatte-Skoura – Rose valley
We will pick you up from your Riad/hotel in Marrakech at 8:00 a.m, travel over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) while enjoying superb views of the mountains and of the Berber Villages on the way. Stop for lunch and tour in the World heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. (This famous kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 films.) Pass through Ouarzazate and continue towards the Valley of Roses and the Dades valley, Skoura oisis with it’s authentic 17 century kasbah, the valley of a thousand Kasbahs. Stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 2 : Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga – Erg chebbi
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to the Todra Gorge: a massive fault, rising to 300 m in a narrow valley thickstudded with palmeries and Berber Villages. After lunch in the gorge, get transported further into the desert to Merzouga, stops along the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi where you will take a camel ride (about one hour and a half) in order to get to your Bivouac Tent . You will spend the evening in a bivouac (camp), enjoy a Berber dinner, and sleep in traditional Nomad camel hair tent.
Day 3 Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Merzouga
Wake-up to a spectacular sunrise in the desert and enjoy breakfast then we return by camel. and a shower. We will make a circuit of the desert dunes where you will have the opportunity to see the amazing changing contrasts of the of the desert. We will visit the ‘black village’ of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians before having a traditional Berber pizza for lunch in the ancient capital of Rissani. After lunch then we go back to Merzouga. Check into your hotel and overnight.
Day4 : Merzouga – Medilte- Azrou- Fes,
After Breakfast , we will leave Merzouga to Fez via Azrou . On the way, We will pass through Erfoud and Errachidia and Medilt. We will stop for lunch ( in Medilt) and we stop to see the wild monkeys on the Cedar forests of Azrou. Continuation to Fez and arrival in the early evening. Check into your Riad.
